FIND+SHARE

use this community space to link up projects utilizing multiple media (or technologies). of particular interest are unique navigation / interaction structures, integration of linear and non-linear elements, community-based / participatory projects, and the like.

we will try to look at these on a regular basis so everyone is nicely up-to-date with the contemporary multimedia landscape.

  5. I found this awesome website called wonderwall that uses a horizontal scroll bar to reveal different stories or popular pictures, etc. (I really like the horizontal scroll!) It also has other web 2.0 tools such as "most popular" and other things that are based on user input.

  6. I'm sure a few people are familiar with Geocaching. This is an interesting website/iphone app/gps experience where users leave an object somewhere, record instructions and the gps location on the website and other users will try to find where they've hidden this treasure. It gets at the virtual/physical integration we've been addressing.

    is a great video that talks some statistics of technology and the people that use it. The relation to our class would be to see how we need to target and design for our future audiences.

  11. I know a bunch of groups have come up with some excellent technological ideas for this project. Here's a video about Nokia's concept phone, Morph. Definitely gave me some ideas on how we could present our final deliverables.

  30. Here's a kid a MICA with a very simple portfolio/process site with some awesome work. The blog format, minimal use of "navigational debris", and large imagery makes the site very legible.

  32. Tori's Eye is an experimental Twitter visualization tool, created using only XHTML/CSS, and Javascript.
    Type search queries into the search bar, and the 'birds' will carry in Twitter tweets that pertain to that subject.

  34. Moomah is an application for connecting to your kid by making a collage with them. Anyone can figure out this application, which is something we should consider in our portfolio websites.
